In this course, we will start from scratch, from the familiarisation of the painting materials to painting various flowers, birds, fruits and insects. We will also discuss relevant Chinese cultural aspects during our classes.

This course is dedicated to the calla lily flower painting. This simply white flower and a bit more complicated leaves allow us to practice a few various key techniques in the Gongbi style. By the end of the 2 hours, you will add to your collection a beautiful calla lily!

This course is meant for building the foundation of the Gongbi painting techniques, which requires patience and practice.

1 small outline brush; 2 medium sized brushes; ripe rice paper; other

Please note that the ripe rice paper (shu xuan) is very important in the Gongbi art practice, and the quality of your materials can affect the artworks.
