DescriptionThe simplex method is treated theoretically, the classical form, also variants of the dual and primal simplex method is analyzed, their importance in linear optimization is emphasized with examples, their use for one-dimensional waste minimization / transport cost minimization is shown in individual software. It is also possible to determine the size of the raw material to find the optimum. That means how big (long) the size of the raw material should be, so that in the end minimal waste remains? In order to explain the design of the procedure for the measures to be made available so precisely and simply that anyone can use it in a short time. The programs are designed in such a way that minimal mathematical knowledge is required to use them. Transport costs / route minimization requires a little more math. To be able to run programs, you need the runtime facilities of Ms Access 2016 or higher. If you want to work with the program code, you need a full version software from MS Access.
In the case where the simplex method does not produce an optimal solution, the program is not terminated. We continue with an empirical concept to find a good solution.
