DescriptionJoin me to learn about AWS Relational Database Service (RDS). RDS makes it easy to set up, operate, and scale a relational database in the cloud. It provides cost-efficient and resizable capacity while automating time-consuming administration tasks such as hardware provisioning, database setup, patching and backups. It frees you to focus on your applications so you can give them the fast performance, high availability, security and compatibility they need.
In this course, we'll look at all the things you need to know to become an RDS expert. We'll cover databases in general, the types of databases that exist out there. Then we'll dive into AWS and look at security, RDS, Amazon's own database Aurora and how to architect an RDS in AWS. We'll cover tools you can use to monitor your RDS and alarms to setup when events occur. There are many labs included to ensure you get the hands-on experience needed to become skillful in all the different areas associated with an RDS.
