We think time is a given, something that is fixed and the same for everybody. However, we all see time differently. How we see time depends greatly on our culture.

Are you frustrated when people arrive late at meetings? Or do you think it is ok to be late? How do you feel about deadlines and planning?

In this course, I will explain the various ways in which different cultures see time. We will discuss how these different views influence what people expect from meetings, how they plan, how they approach deadlines.

You will know how these differences lead to various views around for instance running meetings, planning, prioritising, the importance of deadlines.

We will also cover how the way people relate to time is associated with what they focus on and what is important to them, namely more tasks or relationships.

Throughout the course, I’ll give you tips and advice to manage time better within your team.

By the end of this course, you will understand how differently people understand and relate to time. You will be able to manage better team dynamics in terms of time management and you will be able to agree and implement with your team new procedures and rules to manage time within the team better.
