Welcome to Linux Basics, the first of four modules in the Linux Operation and DevOps Basic Course.

About the first module:

In this part of the course, we will go through the installation of the virtualization environment, configure the Internet connection inside our virtual machine, download the popular SSH client and understand its interface, get acquainted with the main daemons and commands, learn how to connect repositories, learn how to control access to the server, and talk about basic utilities to help you work with it.

About the entire course:

This course is a step-by-step guide for those who want to get started with basic Linux system tools without any prior knowledge. Together we will go through the process of creating and configuring our virtual machine, after which we will start working with it, in parallel getting acquainted with the utilities for working

You will learn how various aspects of the server interact with each other, as well as understand how virtual machine management works and how it can be improved. After completing the course, you will have the right approach to working with Linux systems and will be able to decide in which direction to continue self-study. In the course of completing the assignments, you will be assisted by qualified curators who will answer your questions.
