How to learn Vietnamese in these videos

Every lesson includes an introduction, a dialogue, an explanation and all the vocabulary.

Introduction

I will explain the grammar and the new words that relate to the lesson. You might also hear a short conversation in Vietnamese and try to guess what will happen in the main dialogue.

Dialogue

You will listen to the story. Don’t worry if there are some words you don’t understand. You can replay a few times. Take your time!

Explanation

I will explain and give examples for the new words and the grammar.

Vocabulary

I will say all the new words in Vietnamese and you will listen and repeat. You should do this step a few times.

Pronunciation is essential in Vietnamese.

You will hear me speak in Vietnamese first for all the videos, and the translation in English is right after. I know you will enjoy my videos and I hope you will enjoy your Vietnamese journey! Thank you for following my course.

How to practice Vietnamese

Every exercise includes four parts

Part A Listening & comprehension

In this part you will listen to the conversation again and answer 3 true or false questions. It will help you check your understanding about the lesson. If you have any mistakes, please replay the conversation a few times.

Part B Practice speaking

In this part, I will give you some example sentences that use the new words or grammar. You will hear the teacher say those sentences and then repeat. It will help you practice speaking Vietnamese by yourself if you do not have any private lessons.

Part C Production

In this part, I will desbribe some situations. You will guess how to respond to those situations and speak out loud. The teacher will confirm the answer right after. It will help you know how to react in real life. This is an essential skill!

Part D Vocabulary review

In this part, you will hear the teacher say some sentences and you will fill in the right word in the blank. It will help you to remember the new words.
