I'm sure you have heard these two words before. EMOTIONAL MANAGEMENT But now, Let's deep inside why emotional management is the key to absolutely everything in your life. Like probably you, I grew up knowing the geography of my country better than my emotional world. Even if I didn't know by that time, my lack of knowledge about my emotions has been the real cause of my problems in life, from my low self-esteem, my inability to communicate effectively, make the right decisions, or understand who I am. All of this changed when I understood how to manage my emotions. Let's understand something important about emotions that usually people miss. You will hear this from gurus, coaches, and even psychologies that tell you that what you think creates your emotion, but this is false. Our thoughts create feelings but not emotions. (After you will know better the differences). Our emotions are our body's messengers that communicate our needs of security, affection, and pleasure. You cannot eliminate your needs the same way you cannot eliminate emotions.
New neuroscience studies prove that emotions belong to our instinctive intelligence and react to what we experience even faster than our rational minds. That means we will experience an emotion even before we think about what we are experiencing. When you were a baby, you didn't develop your thinking; you cried when your parents were away because emotions communicated the need for safety and affection. Emotional reactions are universal, even in the animal kingdom. We have the same instinctive reaction to a loss, to danger, or a triumph. The second thing essential to understand is that everything we live in generates emotional responses in our bodies. A dismissal, the loss of a loved one, or the uncertainty of the future affect us because they awaken emotions. That means that your experiences create your emotions, and your emotions give meaning to your experiences.
Everything you do, think, and decide is motivated by your emotions, by your need for security, affection, and pleasure. Emotions are like the roots that give us energy and vitality.
The same way we grow a plant by taking care of the roots, human beings grow and flourish by understanding and managing their emotions.
Let's not forget that small emotions are the great captains of our lives, and we obey them without realizing it." Van Gogh
All of us are born with the natural potential to master our emotions and use them to grow and evolve. We go through painful experiences because they allow us to learn valuable lessons that can become a source of wisdom. Our brain and organism are built to handle any emotional experience, learn from it, and use it to our advantage to be creative and resilient.
The way we manage our emotions is the first thing we do before taking any other action. What we do with our emotions creates the results in our lives, creating how we feel life. At a biological level, the way we think about our emotions creates our feelings. There are two kinds of feelings, based on fear or relaxation. It is not what we can get outside that will make us feel at peace, but how we manage the emotions that we feel inside.
EMT is a simple and effective technique that involves complex processes. EMT is a form of meditation. The word meditation comes from medicine, and meditation is the medicine of the mind. The only problem with meditation is that usually, it takes a long road to master meditation properly. EMT guides the person to a state of meditation intentionally to heal an emotion. When we heal our emotions, everything changes in our lives, the way we connect with ourselves, communicate, our actions, and our relationship with our partner, family, or boss. On the other side, when we do not heal our emotions, we try to findfind solutions outside, in food, substances, relations, sex, or anything that provides a little calm to our lives.
