Mostly spoken around the central highlands of Ethiopia, Amharic is the official language of Ethiopia and the second most widely spoken Semitic language in the world after Arabic. Amharic is an Afro-Asiatic language of the Southwest Semitic group and is related to Geʿez it is written left-to-right using a system that grew out of the Geʽez script and it has been the official working language of Ethiopia since the late 12th century.

The course explores and brings to the surface the fundamental concepts of the Amharic languages in a way that is easy and efficient. In addition this series consists of conversations that we use regularly.

This course consists of 12sections, each of them covering a different topic and taught by a native Ethiopian, Amharic speaker. It helps anyone who wants to use the Amharic language for any purpose in their day to day lives.
