Electrical Engineering Course
The objective of this course is to introduce students to the basic concepts taught in electrical engineering. Students will learn the theory and real-life applications of electrical circuits. Students will have the opportunity to get hands on experience by putting together their own electrical circuits.
The Elenco snap circuit kit does not require solder or a breadboard. The components easily snap in place making it very simple to put the circuits together. The circuits start out very basic and get more complex as the course goes on. By the end of this course students should understand what makes up a circuit, how to read simple schematics, understand logic circuits, and how resistors and LEDs work.
Coding Course
The objective of this course is to build a foundation of basic web coding concepts to open the door to new and exciting career opportunities. In this course you will learn HTML 5 and CSS 3 concepts and build your first navigation enabled website withsimple tools such as a code editor and a common web browser.
Computer Hardware Course
The objective of this course is to understand the fundamentals of computer hardware such as the computer monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc.
During this course you will learn:
• How to monitor and perform on-going maintenance on servers and network equipment.
• Running hardware diagnostics and replacing failing parts in a timely manner.
• Upgrading internal system components, including CPUs, memory, hard drives, and more.
WE WILL BE ADDING MORE CONTENT TO THE COURSE SO STAY TUNED!!!
Robotics
This course is designed to promote Technology literacy through an easy introduction to microcontroller programming and simple robotics. Circuit building, C programming, and connecting to the computer to interface with the robot will be covered in this first class. Also, you will build, test, and calibrate the Arduino Boe Shield-Bot for basic maneuvers. No prior experience is needed to complete this course.
