This course is split up into 3 parts.

1. Foundations of Quantum Mechanics

In this part we will cover the most important aspects of quantum mechanics. We will learn about the principles of uncertainty and superposition. After working through a short mathematical section we will be looking at special concepts like entanglement, which we will user later in this course (for quantum teleportation and superdense coding)

2. Quantum Bits and QuantumComputing

This part will be all about what a quantum bit is and how we can use it to construct a quantum computer. We will learn what a quantum gate is and how it is related to the way modern day computers work. We will prove that a quantum computer would be able to do anything a modern day computer is capable of doing.

3. The power of Quantum Technology

In this part we will study 2 impressive examples, that show the superior power of quantum technology. First, we will learn about the superdense coding algorithm, which is a way to store the information of 2 bits in 1 single quantum bit. After that we will talk about teleportation and why it is related to the famous No-Cloning Theorem.

Quantum Computing as a field in modern physics requires some joy doing maths. This would be the only prerequisite.
