The class will teach beginners some basic sewing techniques as they learn to make the Brush Roll. Once you master the technique, you’ll want to make a Brush Roll for many different uses.
Only a simple sewing machine is needed (one with a zigzag stitch) and an iron is absolutely necessary. Very little fabric is needed - the student may be able to use up a scrap for this project! The course takes you through the Brush Roll construction, one step at a time. You’ll learn a “no-fail” technique for applying bias binding. Finishing touches are terribly important for a professional look, and we’ll talk about those at the end of this course.
The class may also appeal to more experienced sewers, simply because the project makes such a great gift for creative friends.It's also a good way for schoolchildren to keep their markers and coloured pencils.
